Recently I attended a sport event, that was set up for raising funds for MS. Patients, their loved ones and many sponsored athletes alongside them contended into one of the biggest MS fundraisers in the world. To collect even more, the money spent on food went to the same charity. All logical to me so far.
But then it struck me, after being done with the challenge I participated in, I went to get some food. Pancakes, sausages, sweets. I thought I was in a nightmare. Was this real? Where are the needed proteins? What about healthy fats? healthy foods that nourish the body of those participating in the sports events as well as for the patients? An Example for the children there? None of that. It reminded me of a personal experience with my dad years ago.
